Hello everyone! It me again, Baby Ryan. I saw cute pictures of myself in mom’s phone and I wanted to share them. Enjoy!
Check out my shades! They make everything dark and I don’t understand them, but apparently mom thinks I’m adorable. She took like a million pictures. I thought it would be fun to take them off and eat them but mom put an end to that. Maybe next time.
My mom kept trying to put me in my ‘Roo. (MamaRoo) I let her know that I didn’t like it because I’m a big girl, not a baby. I remember her trying to make me nap in it when I was younger. I finally have her convinced that I’m not a napper and will never take a nap. EVER. She kept trying anyway. Clearly, I’m a bit big for it now. She finally put it away until a little brother or sister comes along.
This picture if one of my mom’s favorites. I had blissfully fallen asleep after nursing, which is my favorite! (I don’t nap. I simply doze on occasion for a few minutes after nursing.) Mommy had to cook dinner for daddy so she needed to put me down. She thought I would be alright to just lay down in my play pen. Boy, was she wrong! I wanted to be held by my mommy! So I cried and cried to let her know this was NOT cool! Mom pulled out her camera so, of course, I smiled. Then she put away the camera and my crying resumed. This happened several times before I got over it and did not smile. That’ll teach her!
I discovered the greatness that is boxes! Mommy got my monthly supply of Honest diapers and thought it would be a great idea to put me in the box. I will admit that I thought she had lost it for a second. Then, I realized it is the most fun ever! My favorite is when mom drug the box into the living room with me in inside. Vroom! Vroom! It is my new favorite form of transportation. Dad took the box to the garage. I don’t understand why we can’t keep all boxes in the living room. Forever.
I had my first Sunday School nursery experience a few weeks ago. I loved it! It was so much fun! New toys, new faces, new friends. What’s not to love? Daddy and Mommy said that I will learn more about Jesus in Sunday School. But right now, we pretty much just play with toys.
I’ve always loved bath time with Mommy. Now that I’m getting bigger it is even better! I can sit up on my own and splash the water. I love to chew on my wash cloth and play with my rubber ducky. I love my rubber ducky so much that I just can’t seem to let go of it when Daddy comes to get me out of the tub. I have to hang on to it until Daddy gets me all dry and diapered.
I found this really neat thing to chew on while visiting a friend. Mom took it away from me but not before she got a picture. Apparently, it is something called raw hide and it is for dogs. I don’t understand why we can’t share it. I chew on the dog toys at home all the time.
My Lovey came to visit me last week. I love it when she visits! Sometimes she brings books for me and reads them to me. I have these two really sharp things poking me in my mouth right now. I know they are teeth because I’ve been through this before. What I don’t understand is what they are for. I don’t need teeth to get milkies. What is going on? One morning Mommy and Lovey woke me up to find that I had my paci in my mouth. They were surprised by this I have never taken a paci. I did that day! I chewed on it for hours. (Sucking is for babies and I’m a big girl. So I just chew on pacis.)
I have this new thing that I really love to do. That is to chew on menus at restaurants. They are the perfect size for me to hold and stick into my mouth. It is so nice of these places to provide me with chewing things.
Each night when my Daddy gets home from work he picks me up, gives me bunches of kisses, and takes me to the closet with him while he gets in his comfy clothes. He puts me in the floor and that is when the fun begins. There are so many fun things in there! I pull all of Daddy’s shoes out one at a time and chew on the laces. I do this every day but it never gets old. On this particular day, Daddy had a new pair of shoes hidden in a paper bag. You can’t fool me. I got ’em! After he gets changed he picks me up and runs me back and forth through the hanging clothes. It is my favorite part of the day.
When my Pops came to visit I got to ride my horsey! Pops made it for me before I was born but I’ve been too little for it. But today, when Pops sat me in the saddle, my hand reached the handle bars! I think it’ll be a while until my feet reach but at least I’m making progress. I love my horsey!
That’s all that is happening in my life right now. I still refuse to crawl but I am ridiculously close. I’m sure my Mommy will be sure to take plenty of pictures when I decide to take off.
